What is an Official Unoffical Group Cruise?
What is an Official Unoffical Group Cruise?
We love Virgin Voyages, so much so for Lindsey‘s big birthday (a lady never reveals her age, but she’s younger than Jennifer Lopez and older than Princess. Catherine) we celebrated with a cruise onboard Virgin’s shiny new ship, Resilient Lady.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise, when Virgin Voyages announced Resilient Lady would be sailing out of Portsmouth, in 2024, we knew we had to book and put our lovely travel agents on standby.
Spookily, the announcement was made a couple of days before one of our cocktail fuelled Q&A live streams, so we were understandably asked if we would be booking Resilient Lady out of Portsmouth and we said ABSOLUTELY!
During the broadcast, it soon become clear our lovely cruise community also fancied joining us on Virgin Voyages (or in Pam & Andrew’s case recreating our previous jump into the pool on Scarlet Night) and the official unofficial group cruise was born.
Sailing out of Portsmouth for a four night cruise on Friday August 23 (Bank Holiday Weekend) the ship will be overnighting in Amsterdam, so goodness knows what excursions will be available, but one thing you can be sure of, Linzi will have some hand sanitiser in her handbag.
With this being an unofficial official group cruise, there won’t be an official program of group activities, so unlike our yet to be announced 2025 Official Group Cruise, you don’t need to book through our preferred travel agent but there are some big advantages to doing so such as being able to link bookings easier and such.
However, we will be arranging a group dinner and onboard bar crawl, and these will be much easier to organise if we are all tagged in the backend to the same Virgin Voyages booking.
Either way, we hope to see you on board and if you do book through our travel agents, Karen and Stuart at Martin travel, they’ve very kindly organised a little surprise for us!
To find out more about this amazing trip. Please contact Karen and Stuart at Martin travel via our Group Cruise Page or simply check out the Virgin Voyages website.
Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!
